Women are delicate as a flower, so men need to protect them, something we have been listening to for centuries and preached for decades. But would you like to see a woman break these norms? Would you like to see her thrashing huge trucks and chasing down the villains? One who can do all these is the petite, twenty-seven years old, unemployed Do Bong Soon from Dobong-dong. Blessed with a superhuman quality that runs only in the female heirs of her family, Bong Soon is very physically strong. But due to a curse that follows with the boon, Bong Soon is pressured to hide her strength from the real world.

As the story unravels, you get to see how Bong Soon tries to fit into the expectation of the world and a man, Guk Doo, who she dearly likes while masking her true self daily. But an unexpected argument with a few local goons leads Bong Soon to fight the men into a pulp. Witnessing the event as a bystander, the young, rich, and handsome CEO of a gaming company, AINSOFT, Ahn-Min Hyuk, decides to appoint the unemployed Do Bong Soon as his personal bodyguard. How does Do Bong Soon find the blackmailer and stalker of Min Hyuk? How does she fight and tries to find the serial kidnapper of young women in her neighbourhood? Finally, her self-realization of accepting herself, having control over her power, and using it for the betterment of society make the whole point of this K-Drama.

Roughly around 60-70 minutes, this K-drama is a myriad of hysterical, adrenaline-filled, and sometimes chilling scenes. The show is framed in a delicate yet contemporary way to showcase that it is high time people, media, and everyone must stop considering women as delicate as a flower and fragile that they need men to survive and protect them. The show talks about many societal aspects, including the fact that men and women should be the support system of each other, not a dependent factor. Even though some portions in the show could have been omitted and made it crisper, we understand the need for a little bit of stretch of events here and there.

So, if you want watch something light-hearted, cute, romantic with some action for this weekend , Strong Woman Do Bong Soon can be a perfect choice.
