Can people exchange souls with different bodies? Well, it appears, during abnormal phenomena, such a thing could happen. One night Jang Bong Hwan, the youngest chef of the Blue House in South Korea, falls from his balcony to the pool beneath his apartment. The next day he finds himself in the body of a woman, not just any woman, but Queen Cheorin from the Joseon Dynasty. The rest of the story unravels funnily. What can you expect when a playboy in the body of a delicate woman with duties gets palace, money, and maids?

Bong Hwan uses his knowledge of history to learn about his scenario. Amidst his constant trials to return to the modern era, he learns about the cold war and the power struggle in the palace. Realizing the true face of King Cheoljong and the memories of the real queen make Bong Hwan stay in the hope of winning the throne against evil though he knows about the future. The struggles between the conscience of Bong Hwan and the desires of Queen Cheorin for the King, the unexpected pregnancy make the viewers roar with laughter from episode one to twenty and make the show a must-watch.

The acting of the versatile actress Shin Hye Sun became the key to success of the drama alongside Kim Jong Hyun. Though the drama is criticized for its Chinese original, offensive jokes against Korean culture, and historically controversial scenes, it is one of the top five dramas watched on TVN with record-breaking ratings for its strong narrative and humorous plot.
